A good leader needs to convey a sense that he or she has the confidence to lead their team toward success. A commercial from a few years ago said, “Never let them see you sweat.” A true leader doesn’t have to give the impression that they know it all—that they are not “sweating it.” They do, however, need to convey an innate confidence that all challenges are solvable and that they are the person to lead the group to ultimate success.
The next time you are with your peers, see if you can identify the person or persons with that valid self-confidence to conquer whatever the gods throw at them. Follow people like that. They will be the first to achieve greater success in the face of challenges.
