Founded in 1869, the American Museum of Natural history is indisputably one of the world's greatest museums. World-famous permanent collections entertain and educate, such as the Hayden Planetarium in the new Rose Center for Earth and Space containing the largest and most powerful virtual reality simulator in the world. Come see the ever-changing special exhibitions as well! Did you know that Earth isn't the only planet with volcanoes? Mars has the largest volcano in the solar system. It was once active but is now extinct. It's called Olympus Mons and is three times the size of Mount Everest. More fun facts and education on our planet Earth, how it came to be, how it has evolved and how it is today, including an earthquake monitoring station in the Gottesman Hall of Planet Earth!
We look forward to welcoming your groups to the American Museum of Natural History, one of the most popular New York tourist attractions!
